Removal of oligonucleotides / primers

Panel A: An excess of a 40 base single stranded oligomer was added to a 100 base ladder. Before (lane 1) and after (lane 2) purification using the AdBiotec PCR DNA Purification Kit. Panel B: An excess of the 40 mer was added to different size DNA fragments. Lanes 1,3,5 are before and lanes 2,4,6 are after purification using the AdBiotec PCR DNA Purification Kit.

DNA is selectively bound to our membranes using optimised binding conditions, allowing higher recovery of DNA from even the smallest amounts of DNA. Each spin column can adsorb up to 20 ug of double stranded DNA, with a single wash sufficient to remove residual primers, nucleotides, enzymes and other impurities. The DNA is then eluted with water or TE buffer and is ready for immediate use. The whole procedure is completed in 5 minutes.
